Sewing for the Savior

Give locally.

On this page, you'll find several ideas of what you can give to encourage a cancer patient. I appreciate any items you send my way to give to a hospital. However, I also encourage you to see if you can donate to your local hospital. Include a Gospel tract and a Gospel of John. I often include a handwritten note addressing it to a "Friend" and signing my first name. I'd be happy to answer any questions if I can.

Prayer Shawls

From a former cancer patient: These shawls are very comforting as the idea is that the person making the shawl/wrap will pray for the person that would receive  the wrap-  comfort and  strength through their treatment.  I received one when I was going through my treatment and it remains on the back of my chair at work. I never knew who gave it to me but it meant so very much to think that someone cared enough to make me one.  My plea is to find people that are willing to donate shawls/wraps and or yarn or fabric so that we can have these available and I will be able to give to patients during their treatment.

Interested in helping with this? Drop me an email and I can send you more info on this. These will be donated to a hospital. _
